Say to me your world. The one inside your head. Where you live and this whole world is dead. Where no one laughs at you for who you are. Where they all can see the little red lie’s scar All the lies that you can’t see They fill a darker side of me I feel the same inside of you The little red lie (is) coming through now Promise me, Promise me, Promise me You’ll take this way too far. Promise me, Promise me, Promise me The end is red and scarred like you. Say what you like it means nothing to me. She says to them, they laugh maniacally. We know all about what you have done. Who you are here with, and where you come from. All the lies that you can’t see They fill a darker side of me I feel the same inside of you The little red lie (is) coming through now Promise me, Promise me, Promise me You’ll take this way too far. Promise me, Promise me, Promise me The end is red and scarred like you. Thinking quickly now she sees them run she grabs her knife. Her thoughts are racing, blood is pumping, she’s in overdrive. And from the shadows she emerges as she takes a breath. A million like her through her now they all take a step. This is the end of it. The hardest part of this. Promise me. Promise me, promise me, You’ll take this way too far. Promise me, Promise me, Promise me The end is red, and scarred like you.

I don’t know you, you don’t know me We come kill this show then we don’t leave Lyrics are true and riffs that scream We feel this rush, it’s all we need. It’s all we need. Its all we need. Its all we… And we feel alive, all our dreams have come. All our hopes are playing out we don’t know what we’ve done. And we feel alive, like that rush you get. Blindly jumping when surviving is a doubt. Listen here I’ll give you what you need, You take what you want the rest is free. The advice is scarce but use it well What comes from me can give you hell. Can give you hell. Can give you hell. Can give you… And we feel alive, all our dreams have come. All our hopes are playing out we don’t know what we’ve done. And we feel alive, like that rush you get. Blindly jumping when surviving is a doubt. Listen here I’ll give you what you need, You take what you want the rest is free. The advice is scarce but use it well What comes from me can give you..

Sleep Tight 03:42
Running. Running. Sleep away your fears inside your head. Maybe they’ll cure what you’ve gotten. She asks why you can’t see caution. She’s got no life but yours instead. And she knows without you. That she cannot survive. And she knows without you. She goes and she goes and she goes. She cries herself to sleep again. You’ve both began the same mission. She’s got no peace of mind. You’ve left her love behind. You’ll never be done here and you’re never coming home alive. And you say the darkness goes away But I’m here to let you know that we all fade away. She’s stolen it from me, feed into my insanity. You know that you’re not done here, Take a look at what you’ve done to me. He knows what he has left behind Like a child unknown and locked outside The war you fight (is) alone all kept away inside your home. It could’ve gone better however you never go. And you say the darkness goes away But I’m here to let you know that we all fade away. She’s stolen it from me, feed into my insanity. You know that you’re not done here, Take a look at what you’ve done to me. Ill tell you I’ve got your back So when you fall I’ll step aside I’ll make you think I’m here for you When in reality I… I Lie to me; I’ll never stop to end you. Sleep away your fears inside your head. Maybe they’ll cure what you’ve gotten. Why can’t she see, what she’s doing to me. He says that he can’t be free. He said he’s running from it running from it. The light will come our way. But I’m here to let you know that we all fade away. She’s stolen it from me, feed into my insanity. You know that you’re not done here, Take a look at what you’ve done to me. What you’ve done to me.

Hello, are you there? Can you hear me? Are you scared? You knew this would come. The day I would call. You’d answer we’d talk; it’d be the last thing before I’d end it all. So humor me now, cause I’ve got a few things. I must get off my chest before I’ll be at rest and be in my own peace. And can you forget all the bad things that I’ve done in my life? All the hardship and strife I’ve caused so much it seems. And can you just hear me now? Look passed my flaws See the part that’s all walled in I keep underneath. Near the end I can see now that. We’re all wrong, in the end we find we’re right back where we had began And I say we’re all wrong. In the end our time is up we know. Cause I know that I’m out of time, all these clocks hands, they have aligned What I need now is someone to hear me say, these words as I fade away. We’re all wrong, in the end we find we’re right back where we had began And I say we’re all wrong. In the end our time is up we know. Cause I know that I’m out of time, all these clocks hands, they have aligned What I need now is someone to hear me say, Yeah. Cause I know that. I’m out of time, all these clocks hands, they have aligned. What I need now, is someone to hear me say. What I need now, is for you to hear me say. Goodbye, Goodbye, Goodbye, Goodbye

No one really knows why it happens every day and No one really can try and empathize this feeling. I’m having a hard time, You cannot make this better. I might just leave my mind. And wander off forever. Off forever. Oh I don’t wanna. No I don’t wanna. No I don’t wanna Leave this place and Oh I don’t wanna. No I don’t wanna. No I don’t wanna Miss your face and Oh and the notes we play, at the end they are the sweetest. Oh oh oh. And the words you say. Carry on. Carry on. Don’t ask me, I wont speak. You come off almost clever. You’re mocking me now think, what I just lost forever. Who do you think you are? I can’t believe you’d say this Don’t you see what’s happened? She’s gone and I can’t save us. I can’t save us. Carry on. Carry on. Live your life like you see fit. And others lies keep out of it. Anything stands in your way. The difference is what you will say. Oh I don’t wanna, No i don’t wanna, No I don’t wanna Leave this plave and Oh I don’t wanna, No I don’t wanna, No I don’t wanna. Miss your face and! Oh and the notes we play, at the end they are the sweetest. Oh oh oh. And the words you say. Carry on. Carry on. Oh and the notes we play, at the end they are the sweetest. Oh oh oh. And the words you say. Carry on. Carry on.

Exterminate. 03:22
The skeleton in me is not my only one. Dead or alive exterminate and kill the smoking gun. Hook up the chair, pull the switches, leave us hanging there. Kill the divide, stop the machine, I’m pulling out my hair. Listen up, point your guns up tell me. Save yourself, save us all, break the T.V. Broadcast outcast, can you save me? Work it out, spread the news, spread the hating. We won’t believe. The cynic message that you say has always been a lie. The people listen, follow orders, struggle eye for eye. The opposition lead this mission never to be done. High and mighty fall the hardest. Yours has just begun. We won’t believe what you say. Tell us how we will exterminate. We’re hoping to see how this pans out for you. Tell me who has done this to you. Roll out let the bombs drop baby. Saddle up kids we’re tired of waiting. Oh! Grab your gear out the door on the road now. Speed it up slam your foot to the floor. We won’t believe what you say. Tell us how we will exterminate. We’re hoping to see how this pans out for you. Tell me who has done this to you. The skeleton in me is not my only one. The skeleton in me is not my only one. The skeleton in me is not my only one. It’s not my only one, it’s not my only. Oh. We’re coming back now. Oh. On the attack now. Oh. We’re coming back now. Oh. On the attack and! We won’t believe what you say. Tell us how we will exterminate. We’re hoping to see how this pans out for you. Tell me who has done this to you. We won’t believe. We won’t believe. We won’t believe. We won’t believe.

Don’t walk away from me. Don’t leave in this place. Your cold and lonely heart. Matches the look on your face. It’s happening again. Ill be all alone. We’ll finally pretend. You’re still here and I’m not on my own. When you’re here I’m not running. Away from all the lights The free police are coming I need your fearless eyes Give them the stare of midnight Then they’ll know what to do. They’ll drop their weapons running. Everyone is scared of you. And in my mind they’re fleeing. They’ve seen your glowing face. Your weapons pointed at them. No choice but run you’ll put them in their place. Too bad that I was dreaming. They’ve got me in their grasp. Where are you when I need you? They’re rolling in their poison gas. When you’re here I’m not running. Away from all the lights The free police are coming I need your fearless eyes Give them the stare of midnight Then they’ll know what to do. They’ll drop their weapons running. Everyone is scared of you. And when you see me next, I won’t be on my own. I will be with the rest, the dark angels roam. The free police wont win. They cannot get us all. When we come crashing from the shadows here you scream. And When you’re here I’m not running. Away from all the lights The free police are coming I need your fearless eyes Give them the stare of midnight Then they’ll know what to do. They’ll drop their weapons running. Everyone is scared of you. When you’re here I’m not running. Away from all the lights The free police are coming I need your fearless eyes Give them the stare of midnight Then they’ll know what to do. They’ll drop their weapons running. Everyone is scared of you.

We’ve got you running. Yeah we’re having a ball. You say you’re scared out of your mind that’s fine it won’t last long. Go ahead and, take a number sit and wait for the call. Cause mama will not be happy when she knows where you’ve gone. You thought you had us well then we showed you. And I know that now there’s really nothing you can do. So go. Tell them how you saw us control you. So go. So go. So go. You thought you had us well then we showed you. And I know that now there’s really nothing you can do. So go. Tell them how you saw us control you. So go. So go. So go. You must come with us. There’s nowhere left to go. I know you’ll tell yourself that you’re better off alone. But I guess it’s not your fault. We could’ve been your friends. We’re laughing as you fall as we come to the end. It’s our turn now you’ll get what you deserve. Don’t try and fake a smile cause it will only get turned into a – Glare, while we speed away from the curb. You see the crime scene is your home I hope the lesson was learned.

Years go by The details flux but the story remains the same Static A tale synonymous through with each and every sentient soul We stand amid the roar of chaos this world so graciously gives us Our eyes to the future And our thanks to the past Wisdom is our only weapon. A look over our shoulders reveals The paths we’ve taken Each single step we chose we remember It’s those steps and choices that shape us They make us human Good or bad, scars or scratches They make us individuals We are the only example of us that will ever be That is the mantle of our existence To be the best “us” that will ever live To make a difference, a change And we’re humbled by that thought for Life always comes with a price And that’s how we become who we are What made us will save us. With that we kill the divide between us Fusing superficial separations Our eyes to the future So good night Sleep Tight And when you wake up We’ll be gone

about

This record has been a long time coming. The years leading up to this release were some of the most trying and stressful for us as a band. We were young; touring and playing shows with no record. Just trying to become the best we could be at playing live, because that's always been what's important to us. There were times when it seemed like the whole world was against us. Be it our families losing confidence in our ambitions, us being constantly in financial distress, or going through the emotional strains those situations cause, we definitely had thoughts that maybe it would be better for everyone if we just gave it up.

It took us a year after the songs were written to work out tracking the record. It was only the extreme generosity of a good friend of ours, Timmy Kosel, that led to us actually tracking. Timmy has been a long time mentor of this band and we can truly tell he wants us to succeed. He's always had our best interests in mind. And we will always be thankful to him for what he's done for us.

After the album was recorded we headed back home to St. Louis, but our next obstacle was mixing & mastering the unpolished tracks. At the time some of us were living paycheck to paycheck, and some of us with no income at all. We needed a miracle to finish this thing. The weeks started to pass and we had no idea what to do. We were rehearsing, playing shows, doing all the things we knew how to do. But all along in the back of our minds this half-finished debut album was burning a hole in our brains, as well as our lives. We were adrift. No options, and no money.

A few of our big-hearted friends with any shred of mixing experience saw our condition. They sympathized with us. And more than a few offered their help. But it was a combination of difficult scheduling, lack of equipment, and lack of know-how on so many complex mixes that made us once again have to take two steps back. Just when we thought there was a light at the end of the tunnel.

That was one of the longest years of our lives. And definitely one of the lowest ones in this bands career. We were playing shows as frequently as we could, anywhere we could - to keep our minds off of it. On the outside we seemed fine, but when so much is riding on something like that, its when we stepped off stage and had to try to sleep that the frustrations would get the best of us. Those were long nights. Many of us definitely did, and said things we probably shouldn't have. But we all felt the same anxiety. And we knew we all dealt with it differently. We got through, one way or another.

Luckily in late 2015, through a connection on the very fringe of our combined circles, someone heard about the struggle we had been going through trying to get this record finished. And he offered his services to us. And he was willing to work with our financial situation because, just as Timmy did, after hearing our music and learning why we do this, he believed in us.

Even while writing this it's still hard to believe that someone would put in the amount of work we did just because they believed in our music. We had never met before we talked about working on the album. But Michael Fikes is the kind of guy who is all about his faith, some of which he had for us. And we're so thankful for that. His show of generosity and willingness to work with us invigorated us with a kind of purpose we hadn't felt for awhile. Something that made us really believe we could make a positive difference with what we were doing. It was an incredible high. And even more so coming off a year of tripping and falling every time we thought we could run.

So we worked. Hard. More than 400 hours. Every night after work, or after rehearsal for two months. The man gave us his all. Even though he hadn't worked with music like this before. Even though maybe he wasn't equipped with all the industry standard stuff for music like ours. He gave us his all. Unconditionally.

In the end it happened. The day the first box of discs arrived at our door, the feeling was overwhelming. It nearly brought us to tears after all the struggle. But as we opened that box and held those discs in our hands for the very first time we thought back on the past two years. Everything that had conspired, and to think - we were still just kids with empty pockets and a hope to make a change with our music. So as those stars faded from our eyes it dawned on us just how thankful we are for everyone who helped us get this box to this door. And also how thankful we are for each other, for sticking together through all the struggle. I don't know if any one of us could have made it on our own.

But we did. Together. And in June of 2016 we debuted a record we were all so proud of. Proud of every second of work, every moment of doubt, every sleepless night, drop of blood, and tear. Every time one of us chose not to eat one night so we'd have enough gas to get to rehearsal the next day.

It made us learn that it's these struggles that make everyone who they are. They make us who we are. They make this album what it is. Imperfect. A product of its history and its environment. Just like all of us.

We can’t pretend to be something we're not. And neither can this record. And while we no doubt believe the next one will be better and sound better. We also believe in making honest music because that's what we love. That’s what we did with this record. And that’s what we always intend to do.
