This poem unites the underlying conceptual story of the record with what we stand for as The Few. We are all individuals, forged from our pasts, molded by memories of decisions good or bad. And we should embrace that uniqueness.Thereby realizing our individual worth and the worth of others. So we can begin to look past our superficial differences and cherish the similarities we all share. Maybe then, we could all sleep well at night. Then The Few., will no longer be needed.
lyrics
Years go by
The details flux but the story remains the same
Static
A tale synonymous through with each and every sentient soul
We stand amid the roar of chaos this world so graciously gives us
Our eyes to the future
And our thanks to the past
Wisdom is our only weapon.
A look over our shoulders reveals
The paths we’ve taken
Each single step we chose we remember
It’s those steps and choices that shape us
They make us human
Good or bad, scars or scratches
They make us individuals
We are the only example of us that will ever be
That is the mantle of our existence
To be the best “us” that will ever live
To make a difference, a change
And we’re humbled by that thought for
Life always comes with a price
And that’s how we become who we are
What made us will save us.
With that we kill the divide between us
Fusing superficial separations
Our eyes to the future
So good night
Sleep Tight
And when you wake up
We’ll be gone

I the mighty are great guys who we have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with. And who we have watched grow since we discovered them in early 2012. They are making waves now. But soon - tsunamis. The Few.
We haven't (yet) played with these dudes but we can feel the authenticity in their music & we respect the hell out of that. Very honest and true music. Jamming them on tour. The Few.
Another band we're glad we shared the stage with. Met Matt years ago when his first project from NJ came through STL and we hit it off. Now just waiting till the next time we can tour together again. The Few.
