Sometimes our guardian angel isn't an omnipotent hero. It can be quite the opposite. We wait for ours to save us from the 'Free Police'. They aim to silence all dissent, whitewash all art, and smother all expression. But the one thing they fear the most is the deep glowing eyes of the angel's stare.
lyrics
Don’t walk away from me.
Don’t leave in this place.
Your cold and lonely heart.
Matches the look on your face.
It’s happening again.
Ill be all alone.
We’ll finally pretend.
You’re still here and I’m not on my own.
When you’re here I’m not running.
Away from all the lights
The free police are coming
I need your fearless eyes
Give them the stare of midnight
Then they’ll know what to do.
They’ll drop their weapons running.
Everyone is scared of you.
And in my mind they’re fleeing.
They’ve seen your glowing face.
Your weapons pointed at them.
No choice but run you’ll put them in their place.
Too bad that I was dreaming.
They’ve got me in their grasp.
Where are you when I need you?
They’re rolling in their poison gas.
When you’re here I’m not running.
Away from all the lights
The free police are coming
I need your fearless eyes
Give them the stare of midnight
Then they’ll know what to do.
They’ll drop their weapons running.
Everyone is scared of you.
And when you see me next, I won’t be on my own.
I will be with the rest, the dark angels roam.
The free police wont win. They cannot get us all.
When we come crashing from the shadows here you scream. And
When you’re here I’m not running.
Away from all the lights
The free police are coming
I need your fearless eyes
Give them the stare of midnight
Then they’ll know what to do.
They’ll drop their weapons running.
Everyone is scared of you.
When you’re here I’m not running.
Away from all the lights
The free police are coming
I need your fearless eyes
Give them the stare of midnight
Then they’ll know what to do.
They’ll drop their weapons running.
Everyone is scared of you.

I the mighty are great guys who we have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with. And who we have watched grow since we discovered them in early 2012. They are making waves now. But soon - tsunamis. The Few.
We haven't (yet) played with these dudes but we can feel the authenticity in their music & we respect the hell out of that. Very honest and true music. Jamming them on tour. The Few.
Another band we're glad we shared the stage with. Met Matt years ago when his first project from NJ came through STL and we hit it off. Now just waiting till the next time we can tour together again. The Few.
